The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is a landmark initiative by the Government of Maharashtra aimed at the economic empowerment of women. To maintain transparency and prevent fraudulent claims, the state has mandated Aadhaar-based e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer).
Whether you are a new applicant or an existing beneficiary, completing your e-KYC is the only way to ensure your Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) remains active.
What is Majhi Ladki Bahin eKYC?
In technical terms, e-KYC is a digital process used to verify the identity of a beneficiary using Biometric or OTP-based authentication through the UIDAI (Aadhaar) database.
Why is it mandatory?
Preventing Fraud: It removes duplicate or “ghost” accounts.
Ensuring Eligibility: It verifies that the applicant still resides in Maharashtra and falls within the 21–65 years age bracket.
Linking for DBT: It ensures your bank account is correctly “mapped” with your Aadhaar for seamless money transfers.
Official Portal & Resource Links
Always use the official government channels to protect your personal data. Do not share your Aadhaar OTP on unofficial websites.

Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra.
Age: Between 21 and 65 years.
Income: Annual family income must be less than ₹2.5 Lakhs.
Bank Account: Must have a personal bank account (Joint accounts are often rejected).
Aadhaar Seeding: Your Aadhaar must be linked to your mobile number and your bank account (NPCI Mapping).
Step-by-Step e-KYC Process (Official Method)
Follow these exact steps to complete your verification. I have detailed exactly where to click to avoid confusion.
Step 1: Visit the Portal
Open your browser and type ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in. On the homepage, look for a blinking link or a button labeled “e-KYC” or “Applicant Login”.
Step 2: Applicant Login
Click on “Applicant Login”.
Enter your registered Mobile Number and Password.
Solve the Captcha (the letters/numbers shown in the image).
Click Login.
Step 3: Enter Aadhaar Details
Once logged in, look for the “e-KYC” tab on the dashboard menu.
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar Number.
Click on the checkbox to give Consent for Aadhaar authentication.
Click the “Get OTP” button.
Step 4: OTP Authentication
An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar.
Note: If you don’t receive an OTP, check if your Aadhaar is linked to a different mobile number.
Enter the 6-digit OTP and click “Verify OTP”.
Step 5: Family Verification (Father/Husband Aadhaar)
In the 2026 updated interface, the system may ask for the Aadhaar number of your Husband (if married) or Father (if unmarried). This is to verify the family income status.
Enter the relative’s Aadhaar number.
Perform the OTP verification for that number as well.
Exemption: If you are a widow or the relative is not alive, select the “Not Applicable” or “Widow” category to skip this.
Step 6: Review and Submit
The screen will display your details (Name, Address, Photo) as per Aadhaar.
Check if everything is correct.
Select your Caste Category.
Accept the Self-Declaration (Hami Patra).
Click Submit.
Success Message: A green message will appear: “Success – Your e-KYC verification has been successfully completed.”
Completing e-KYC via Nari Shakti Doot App
If you prefer using a smartphone:
Download the Nari Shakti Doot app from the Google Play Store.
Log in using your mobile number and OTP.
Click on “Aadhaar Update/e-KYC”.
Scan your Aadhaar QR code or enter the number.
Complete the Face Authentication or OTP process as prompted.
Crucial Step: Bank NPCI Mapping (The “Silent” Rejection)
Even if your e-KYC says “Complete,” you might not get the money if your bank account is not Aadhaar Seeded.
What to do: Visit your bank branch.
Ask for: The “NPCI Mapping/DBT Consent Form.”
Result: This links your Aadhaar to the Direct Benefit Transfer gateway. Without this, the ₹1,500 payment will fail.
Troubleshooting Common Problems
“Aadhaar Number not in Eligible List”: This means your initial application was either rejected or is still under scrutiny. Contact your local Anganwadi Sevika.
“OTP Not Received”: Ensure your mobile has a network and is the same one registered at the Aadhaar center. If not, visit a Maha e-Seva Kendra to update your mobile link.
“Technical Error/Server Down”: The portal faces high traffic. Try performing the e-KYC early in the morning (before 8 AM) or late at night.
